An alleged MS-13 gang member has been detained in Holiday, Florida, and charged with the “demonic” muɼder of an Uber Eats delivery driver, whose remains were discovered last week, mutἰlated, in the suspect’s residence.
Investigators discovered the victim’s remains in trash bags at the residence on Monday 24 April and Oscar Solis, 30, a resident of the house where the driver made his final stop, was apprehended and preliminary charged with muɼder while committing a robbery, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
“I’m not going to get into how gruesome this case was,” Nocco said on Tuesday 25 April. The sheriff later said, “This man is – what he did was diabolical.
According to a news statement from the sheriff’s office, investigators think Solis kἰlled the driver after attempting to rob him.
Through online court records, CNN was unable to ascertain whether Solis is represented by counsel. According to the sheriff, Solis is a member of MS-13, a dangerous criminal organization with connections to worldwide narcotics and people trafficking.
Last Wednesday night, when the driver texted his wife to let her know he was making his last delivery and would soon be home, he was not far from his own home, according to Nocco. The victim’s identity was withheld by the sheriff, although he is known as Randall William Cooke according to an affidavit in the case.
Investigation of Missing Uber Driver Leads to Discovery of Human Remains
The sheriff claimed that was the last time the woman would speak to her husband, who she subsequently reported missing after he stopped responding to her texts and failed to return home.
According to GPS information provided to investigators by Uber, the driver was last seen at Solis’ Holiday residence. About 30 miles northwest of Tampa is Holiday.
A criminal complaint claims that motion-activated security footage from the house shows the delivery driver at the door at 6:56 p.m., barely minutes after he texted his wife, but the tape ends there.
A second home camera captured footage showed Solis and another person moving trash bags around the side of the house the next day; one of the trash bags appeared to be heavy and needed to be dragged over the ground, according to the complaint.
According to the complaint, when detectives opened the garbage bags at the house on Friday 28 April, they discovered what appeared to be human remains in two of the bags. The remains were later recognized as belonging to the driver by a medical examiner, it said.
According to the complaint, detectives also found what seemed to be blood on the couch, sink, toilet, shower tiles, and a mop, as well as on the threshold to Solis’ bedroom.
The only thing that seems to have happened is that a man who was working and making his final delivery of the evening was kἰlled senselessly and taken away from his family, the man added.
According to the sheriff’s office, Solis just relocated to Florida after serving more than four years in prison in Indiana for counts of assἀult and burglary and was released in January.

According to Nocco, Solis was initially detained on Friday for failing to register as a convicted felon in Florida and for breaking his parole out of Indiana. After gathering additional information for the case, investigators added the felony muɼder charge on Monday.
The victim “should be at home with his family today, and we are keeping his loved ones in our thoughts,” according to all logic. We have maintained constant communication with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office throughout their investigation and we appreciate how committed they have been to this matter, according to the statement.
