Who is Sofia Richie’s Parents?
She was born in 1998 to “All Night Long” singer Lionel Richie and his second wife Diane Alexander. She is the younger sister of Nicole Richie and Miles Richie. Michael Jackson is Sofia Richie’s godfather.
She became good friends with Jackson’s daughter Paris and said that her excursions to Neverland Ranch were some of her greatest childhood memories. Like her father, Richie had an early appreciation for music. She started taking voice lessons at age five and piano lessons at age seven.
She occasionally appeared in her dad’s performances as a child. At the age of 14, she started taking voice lessons with vocal instructor Tim Carter. She has also recorded with Joel Madden, lead singer for the band Good Charlotte, who is her brother-in-law.
She considered pursuing a career in music but ultimately opted against it because she felt she couldn’t measure up to her famous father. In 2014, she was a regular on her sister Nicole’s reality show, Candidly Nicole. Richie attended Oaks Christian School also known as “Celebrity High” for a bit before being homeschooled for several years while her father was on the road.
At the age of 16, she fractured her hip in a Segway accident ending her soccer career. Recently, in the South of France on Saturday, April 22, 2023, Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge tied the knot in a Lavish ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle in a custom-made Chanel wedding gown with a train covered in white and iridescent beads.
