Fans of the action-thriller The Night Agent should get ready for more assἀssination attempts and plots because a second season has been announced.
Season 1 came out on Netflix in March. More than 168 million hours were watched, which is the third-best number ever for a first season of an original Netflix show.
A big part of the show’s success comes from its great cast, led by Gabriel Basso, who did almost all of his own stunts in the series and is the best actor in it.

Will The Night Agent Return for Season 2?
Yes! As explained above, The Night Agent will have a second season. Series creator Shawn Ryan said of the renewal news –
“The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share The Night Agent with the world.”
“To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix. We couldn’t be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans.”

The Night Agent Season 2 Release Date Rumors
We don’t know exactly when the second season will come out, but we do know that it will come out in 2024 and have another 10 episodes. We’ll keep this page up-to-date as soon as we find out anything new.
Who Could Come Back for Season 2 of The Night Agent?
Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan would probably both come back as Peter Sutherland and Rose Larkin, respectively.
Sarah Desjardins, who played Maddie Redfield, and Fola Evans-Akingbola, who played Chelsea Arrington, could also come back. Hong Chau, who played Diane Farr, and Christopher Shyer, who played (former) Vice President Redfield, are less likely to come back, but it’s not out of the question.

What Could Happen in The Night Agent Season 2?
Even though the first season was based on a one-off book, the way it finished left a lot of room for the show to go in new directions. For example, Peter seems to be sent on a new mission as a Night Action agent.
When talking to Netflix TUDUM, showrunner Shawn Ryan said that the team would “love to tell” the story of what happens to Peter and Rose after the end of season 1. He added –
“If viewers react to the show the way we hope they will, and if people come and check it out.”
Ryan said these were the big questions a second season would be dealing with –
“What does Peter getting on this plane to enter into some new wild adventure mean — with Rose going back to California to try to pursue her Silicon Valley dreams again? And where would that lead them?”
When asked directly if a second season was likely, he said –
“We certainly have some initial ideas…”
