The match between Real Madrid and Chelsea at Santiago Bernabeu was, to put it mildly, lopsided. Even though the final score was 2-0, Los Blancos had plenty of opportunities to increase their lead when Ben Chilwell was sent off for Frank Lampard’s team after 30 minutes.
Reece James was one of the players who had a bad day. The Chelsea defender had already defeated Vinicius Junior, but he was defeated this time.
Despite his poor showing at Santiago Bernabeu, James remains one of the world’s best full-backs. If he continues to improve and avoids injuries, he might become the top right back in the league.
According to MARCA, Real Madrid is keeping tabs on James. Unfortunately for Chelsea, they will have to sell several of its players in the upcoming transfer window. The English right-back might leave for a transfer price of roughly €50 million, making him one of them.

Chelsea player Reportedly Attracting €50 million from Real Madrid
Given James’s age, talent, and what he’s previously accomplished for Chelsea at his best, a trade fee of €50 million seems extremely modest. A club would be getting a great deal if they could sign him for anything close to that amount.
If Chelsea is willing to let James leave in the summer remains to be seen. He recently signed a long-term agreement with the club and is widely considered to be one of its most valuable players.
Take a look at the below tweet in which it is stated that Real Madrid is interested in a Chelsea player:

The possibility of Chelsea and James breaking up seems like the worst possible outcome for them. However, Real Madrid should remain vigilant because stranger things have happened on the football field.
