Nolan’s Oppenheimer Not Delayed: Get Ready for a July 21 Release

Oppenheimer Release Date

Oppenheimer Release Date

The summer release of Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” has not been delayed, despite allegations that spread like wildfire on Friday morning. The film is still scheduled to hit theaters this summer.

The biographical thriller is set to come out on July 21, 2023, a person close to the film told TheWrap. There are no plans to change the date.

Thierry Femaux, the director of the Cannes Film Festival, said in an interview with Variety that he “would have loved” to include “Oppenheimer” in the festival’s lineup, but erroneously stated that the film was “being released at the end of the year.” This sparked rumors that the film’s release date would be pushed back to the fall.

Did you know that the third movie in the Creed series came out on March 3? Fans are already thinking about Creed 4, which will be written as Creed IV. We’ve been following Adonis Creed’s journey to becoming an adult since 2015 when he was still an unhappy teen trying to live up to his name:

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie from Warner Bros. is set to come out on the same day that “Oppenheimer” will only be shown in theaters. This will be a pretty big battle. Many people have wondered if either movie’s release date would change, but Universal has no plans to move Nolan’s feature.

“Oppenheimer” was written by Nolan and directed by him. It is based on the book “American Prometheus” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. Cillian Murphy plays J. Robert Oppenheimer, who helps make the atomic bomb.

The film tells the story of Oppenheimer’s life. It’s been called a “epic thriller,” and Nolan has said it’s “one of the most challenging projects” he’s ever worked on because it’s about one man’s whole life.

Nolan told –

“We’re trying to tell the story of somebody’s life and their journey through personal history and larger-scale history.”

“And so the subjectivity of the story is everything to me. We want to view these events through Oppenheimer’s eyes. And that was the challenge for Cillian that I set him, to take us on this journey, that was the challenge for Hoyte van Hoytema, my designer, my whole team: how do we view this extraordinary story through the eyes of the person who was at the heart of it? All of our decisions on how to make this film were based on that real premise.”

The movie was shot with Imax cameras in New Mexico, California, and New Jersey. Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Benny Safdie, Rami Malek, Josh Hartnett, and Kenneth Branagh are also in the group cast.
