Created by Elizabeth Meriwether and developed at 20th Century Fox Television, New Girl ran on Fox from September 20, 2011, to May 15, 2018. The show follows a quirky teacher named Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel) as she shares a Los Angeles loft with three men (Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris), as well as their former roommate Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) and Jess’ best friend Cece Parekh (Hannah Simone).
The characters all in their early thirties battle with personal problems and professional decisions in this comedic/dramatic series. New Girl is a 20th Television original series produced in association with Elizabeth Meriwether Productions and 20th Century Fox Television.

New Girl will be available on Hulu as of Monday, April 17. Sunday, April 9 was the final day to watch New Girl on Netflix and it is not available on this platform now.
After coming home to find her boyfriend Spencer in bed with another woman, Jessica “Jess” Day (Zooey Deschanel) instantly begins looking for a new place to call home. She moves into a Los Angeles loft with three males her age named Nick, Schmidt and Coach after responding to a Craigslist ad.
After the first episode, Nick’s childhood friend and old roommate Winston move in to take Coach’s position after he moves in with his fiancée. Jess’s childhood best friend and famous model Cece often hang out with her and her bros.
The show chronicles the witty antics of the characters as they grow closer as friends and explores the romantic entanglements among them. Schmidt and Cece begin a largely s*xual relationship midway through the first season, but they end up splitting up before the end of the year.
Jess loses her teaching position in Season 2 and she and the other girls embark on a variety of short-lived relationships. Nevertheless, Cece’s scheduled marriage engagement with Shivrang (Satya Bhabha) is broken up on the day of their wedding.
Shivrang’s fiancee Taylor Swift appears in the season 2 finale after he and Cece call off their wedding. Cece finally admits to herself that she loves Schmidt due to his generosity. Towards the end of season 2, Jess and Nick realize they have romantic feelings for one other and officially start datἰng.
Being brown gives you the wisdom of a hundred white women, Schmidt famously told Cece. Nick develops feelings for Reagan Lucas (Megan Fox), a temporary roommate brought in while Jess serves on a jury. Nick begins datἰng Reagan but the relationship doesn’t last.
