Letecia Stauch’s murder trial resumed on Monday 10 April morning, and evidence presented in court included testimony that 11-year-old Gannon Stauch fought back against his attacker.

The day’s first witness was Dr. Susan Ignacio, who worked alongside a team of pathologists in Florida to conduct the autopsy on Gannon Stauch. According to her, Gannon was hit by 18 projectiles, four blunt objects and a bullet.

According to Ignacio, Gannon’s entire corpse had deteriorated, he was wearing the clothes he had on when he dἰed and parts of his bones were visible. Ignacio said that Gannon’s jaw was sh0t out and that he had blunt-force trauma to the head. Homicide was determined to be the cause of deἀth.

After the autopsy, a toxicology report was compiled. Gannon tested positive for the opiates acetametaphine and hydrocodone. The medical examiner thought the Hydrocodone was strange, but he couldn’t confirm whether or not the victim had a valid prescription.

Gannon’s dad, Al Stauch, was eventually called to the stand. He claimed to have been prescribed Hydrocodone for pain associated with a hand injury. He never shared the prescription with his children, instead keeping it on his nightstand. He said that only Letecia and he knew the location.
