Who is Brianne Howey?

American actress Brianne Nicole Howey was born on May 24, 1989. She starred in The Exorcist (2016) and The Passage on Fox (2019). In the first season of The CW’s superhero program Batwoman (2019–2020), she played Reagan Pye in a recurring role.

She will begin playing Georgia Miller in the comedy-drama Ginny & Georgia on Netflix in 2021. Howey, the eldest of five children was raised in Pasadena, California, by her young, unmarried mother, who she later drew inspiration for her Georgia character.

She joined the improv team while attending Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school in Pasadena. She continued her acting training by studying theatre at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

She played the lead in the short films Party Favors (2008), Appropriate S*x (2009) and Suckerpunch (2010) while she was a student. While still a student at NYU, she played Stacy in her first television appearance on 90210. Twisted Tales featured Howey as a leading man in 2013.

Brianne co-starred with Jason Bateman in the comedy movie Horrible Bosses 2 as Candy in 2014. Brianne relocated to London in 2015 to begin filming for her first ongoing leading role in the British television series I Life with Models.

In the television series The Exorcist, Howey was cast as Kat Rance in 2016, the sister of the possessed girl portrayed by Hannah Kasulka. Howey played Shauna Babcock, a “Viral” in Justin Cronin’s film The Passage in 2019.

In the same year, Howey started playing Alison B. in Dollface on Hulu. In February 2022, she made her return for season 2. In the 2019 romantic comedy Plus One, she also had a part. For her part as Georgia in the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, Howey gained additional notoriety.

 Following its premiere on February 24, 2021, the series soon gained popularity, garnering 52 million Netflix users. On April 19, 2021, a second season was ordered. The start of the second season was on January 5, 2023.
