Hazel Moder Julia Roberts’s 16-year-old daughter made her red carpet debut this week in support of her other parent, actor George Moder. Flag Day, in which Moder co-starred, had her father, Daniel Moder, in the role of cinematographer. The younger Moder wore a stylish and understated button-up lace dress in a butterscotch yellow hue. Dad, being Dad, wore a tuxedo.
Roberts famously went to New Mexico to raise her family away from the glare of the Hollywood spotlight after giving birth to Hazel and her twin brother Phinnaeus in 2004. (Roberts also has a younger son, Henry). The Roberts clan, though, is a Hollywood institution.
Both Eric Roberts, Julia’s brother, and Emma Roberts, her niece, are actors. Hazel was bound to put her (very low-key) foot in the spotlight sooner or later. She made her acting debut in 2016 with a supporting role in her mom’s film Mother’s Day.
The movie Flag Day is a bit of a Hollywood family affair, which is fitting. The film was directed by Sean Penn, who also appears in it with his kids Dylan and Hopper. James Brolin’s son (and Barbra Streisand’s stepson) Josh Brolin is also featured in the cast. The film also has an appearance by Regina King.

The senior Moder worked as an assistant cameraman on the set of The Mexican in 2001, but he is now a full-fledged cinematographer. For his role in Ryan Murphy’s 2014 TV movie The Normal Heart, he received an Emmy nomination.
