At the tender age of 19, she signed her first major record contract with ‘Black River Entertainment’ in 2013. She released her first country music single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” in October of 2014. The song was composed by Kelsea, Josh Kerr and others.
When the single topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Kelsea made history as the first female country singer to ever do so while signed to an independent label. Her first album, titled “The First Time” came out in May of 2015 and its lead single, “Love Me Like You Mean It” was an instant hit.
