Cody Rhodes told Bloodline member Solo Sikoa before Monday night’s Raw that he wasn’t “ready” for their one-on-one match. Rhodes proved what he said was true when he won the main event and put an end to Sikoa’s unbeaten streak on the main roster.
The two men went all out in their fight, which almost went Sikoa’s way when The Usos came to the ringside area. Rhodes was saved by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, which gave him a huge win less than a week before he faces Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania for the undisputed WWE universal championship.
Cody Rhodes Ends Solo Sikoa’s Undefeated Streak
In an interview, Cody Rhodes was asked if facing Solo Sikoa six days before facing Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE universal championship made him vulnerable. Rhodes said that he loves being in this position.
He then repeated what he had already said, which was that Sikoa is not ready for him and that this match is just another step on his way to beating Reigns and becoming the champion.
Do you think Vince McMahon was once more involved in making WWE shows? This year, Mr. McMahon went back to WWE in a business role to help sell the company in the coming months:
Cody Rhodes def. Solo Sikoa via pinfall with Cross Rhodes. After a match that went back and forth, The Usos went to ringside to try to help Sikoa win. That move was quickly answered by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who stormed ringside and brawled with the Usos, with the four men eventually brawling to the back.
Back in the ring, Rhodes stopped the Samoan Spike by turning Sikoa into the Cross Rhodes for the pinfall. There weren’t many huge events in the show, as everything was just being set up for WrestleMania.
Rhodes going over Sikoa in a solid match was good, however. Sikoa ran out of gas a bit at the end, but this was harder for him than what he was used to. Rhodes got a big win that gave him some last momentum before his match with Reigns, which is helpful.
What Else Happened on WWE Raw?

The Street Profits, Braun Strowman, and Ricochet beat the Viking Raiders and Alpha Academy by pinfall after Montez Ford hit Erik with a frog splash. The four teams now meet in a fatal four-way match at WrestleMania.
An Austin Theory promo was shown with him in the middle of the ring in an empty arena. Theory said he was doing so because he doesn’t do anything for the WWE fans, he does everything for himself while hyping up his WrestleMania match with John Cena.
