Fox’s renowned singing competition features masked singers singing their hearts out in front of a massive audience while a team of celebrity judges tries to determine who they are by looking at their costumes.
On March 22nd’s program, titled “Country Night” the cast will perform a variety of country hits. The judges are also in character donning cowboy garb and ten-gallon hats. Not surprisingly, though, the focus is on the vocalists.
Axolotl is one of the featured performers on this week’s episode. They’ll be competing against two other rookies, Macaw and Fairy to discover who has the best chance of advancing.
On Wednesday, March 22nd, during Country Night on The Masked Singer US season 9, Fairy will face two colorful new competitors. With Macaw at his side, Axolotl will try to unseat the current champion and advance to the semifinals.

Who is Axolotl on the Masked Singer?
This big-headed lover is based on the adored salamander-like marine creature and wears a stylish pink costume. Axolotl sent out some extremely cryptic hints regarding her identity before her first performance. Here are some of her hints:
- Pompoms
- “As a kid, I was bullied so bad I had to transfer schools”
- Struggled with an eating disorder
- Raw steak
- Diamond ring
- Gold boxing bell
- Says she heard a song that helped her recover, then fell in love with the man who sings it
American football player Robert Woods also provided a live clue, revealing the figure 2.3 million. The judges speculated that Axolotl was a wrestler. During Axolotl’s first performance, the judges were clearly perplexed, yet they made some good guesses nonetheless.
Nicole Scherzinger thought it was a gymnast like Simone Biles or McKayla Maroney, while Robin Thicke thought it was one of the Bella Twins singing. Jennifer McCarthy continued in this vein by suggesting Alexa Bliss, the WWE star and wife of wrestler Ryan Cabrera.
A subscriber to the Masked Singer forum speculates that Axolotl, despite their feminine appearance, may actually be a boy. Other supporters continue to insist that they are female.
The Masked Singer production house shared an official post on their Instagram account and said, “Ready to meet # Axolotl Mask”.
During Country Night on The Masked Singer, Axolotl was the first contestant to be unmasked. Alexa Bliss, a major name in World Wrestling Entertainment was hiding under that disguise.
