David Koresh Autopsy Revealed: What Causes The Tragic Death of “Cult Leader”?

David Koresh Autopsy and Cause of Death

David Koresh Autopsy and Cause of Death

On the inside of the Branch Davidian complex in Waco, Texas, David Koresh was sh0t in the head and k!lled.

Schneider known as Koresh was second in command and died from a head injury caused “by a blast or a gunsh0t wound,” according to a preliminary autopsy report by Tarrant County Medical Examiner Nizam Peerwani. His headsh0t body was discovered in the Branch Davidian compound’s communications room, close to that of Koresh.

When the federal government floods the complex with tanks and the building catches fire, the show depicts Koresh’s right-hand man, Steve Schneider, shooting him in the forehead (with Koresh’s approval). Then, Schneider sh0ots himself in the head.

The official cause of Koresh’s dea†h was listed as “massive craniocerebral trauma due to gunsh0t wound of mid-forehead,” according to the autopsy report. Although Koresh’s body was badly burned, it was never possible to ascertain whether he was murd*red or committed suicide.

But what exactly happened the night Koresh was k!lled? Schneider’s body was discovered in close proximity to Koresh’s, that much is true.

What was found in the David Koresh Autopsy Report?

Although Koresh’s body was engulfed in flames, The New York Times reports that he was k!lled by a bullet to the head. The publication said the bullet wound “was in the center of his forehead.” His body was discovered “next to the compound’s kitchen and communications hub.” The Oklahoman said that the FBI’s top spokesman claimed during a discussion that Schneider was responsible for Koresh’s dea†h.

“He understood he was dealing with a phony,” Bob Ricks said in a speech, speculating on Schneider’s state of mind. Mr. Schneider could not put up with his wanting to come out after he had caused so much trouble already. There are, of course, two more possible explanations: either Koresh committed suicide or murd*red him, but the information was not confirmed.

After examining Koresh’s heavily charred remains, Tarrant County medical examiner Nizam Peerwani told that it was impossible to determine whether Koresh died by suicide or homicide. But he conceded that the FBI’s explanation could be correct.

The Waco Tribune reports that Steve Schneider’s body was located in the same room as Koresh’s. Schneider, 48 years old at the time of his dea†h, may have met a similar fate from a gunsh0t wound to the head.

Schneider, much as in the show, was the one who handled most of the negotiations with the FBI during the hostage situation. In addition, he gave his consent for his wife Judy to have s*xual encounters with Koresh and, maybe, conceive a child by him. Also lost in the blaze were Judy Schneider and the infant.

Koresh was sh0t in the head and later died. Steve Schneider “died of smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning with potential traumatic head damage from either a blast or a bullet.” His body had been so badly burned that a definitive cause of dea†h could not be determined.

Here is where the autopsy report on Koresh can be found. Also, it verifies that he was hit in the forehead by a bullet at the “entry” position.
