Ed Sheeran became emotional in a new trailer for his upcoming docuseries while discussing the health problems of his wife Cherry Seaborn.
This week, Disney+ released a preview for “The Sum Of It All” which featured the “Bad Habits” singer sobbing over privacy issues.
Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn is the mother of two children (two-year-old Lyra and 10-month-old Jupiter) was diagnosed with a tumor during her pregnancy.
In the clip, Sheeran said, “Cherry’s health, it was really bad,” adding that not long after his best friend Jamal Edwards died of a heart attack brought on by recreational drugs.
He said:
“You guys said, Do you want to make a documentary? and I went, Yeah! And it should be me in the studio that’s not what the documentary is as footage cut to him tearing up in a car. Life is unpredictable. Plans can change, really quickly.”
Sheeran previously revealed on social media that his upcoming album, “Subtract” was delayed due to a health concern with his wife, the death of a close friend and legal issues.

He said:
“A series of events changed my life, my mental health and ultimately the way I viewed music and art within the space of a month.”
“My best friend Jamal, a brother to me, died suddenly and I found myself standing in court defending my integrity and career as a songwriter.”
Sheeran added:
“He was spiraling through fear, depression and anxiety at the time feeling like he was drowning with his head below the surface”.
In the new teaser, Sheeran reflects on his improbable rise to fame, from a “little”, “ginger” youngster with a stutter to a global superstar.
He went on to say, “It’s so unlikely that that person will become a pop sensation.” A lot of the trailer also focuses on Seaborn, showing a video of the two of them on d@tes and k!ssing.
After marrying Cherry in 2019, Sheeran has been effusive in his praise for his new wife. Despite the trailer’s heavy subject matter, it finishes on a light note showing Sheeran and his pals laughing and celebrating his birthday.
