On Saturday 11 March NASA’s SpaceX’s Crew-5 separated from the International Space Station at 2:20 a.m. EST after spending nearly six weeks in space. A SpaceX Dragon having Crew-5 was taken out from the dock by NASA astronauts Josh Cassada and Nicole Mann, Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina and Japan’s Koichi Wakata.
“It’s been overwhelming to be at the International Space Station,” NASA astronaut Josh Cassada said after the crew-5 left its place from orbit. “The crew are incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished while we were there. We are excited to return to our beautiful planet and those wonderful people there.”
Because of weather threats, NASA skipped two times its departure on 7 March and 8 March. It will appear on 12 March at 8:11 p.m. EST on Saturday. You can watch NASA’s Crew-5’s returning home at Space.com or NASA’s livestream page.
Crew-5 launched SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on 5 October 2022. It was a history-creating moment when a woman Mann from America made her approach into Space and Kikina was also the first Russian woman who fly into orbit in a private American space.

Endurance Crew-5 Dragons were established to have an extra member, one of the three astronauts if any emergency happens. But later they were removed when Russia develop its replacement Soyuz last month. After Crew-5 again Crew-6 arrived at the orbiting lab over at the Dragon Endeavour.

For the next six months, NASA’s Woody Hoburg and Stephen Bowen, the United Arab Emirates Sultan Al Neyadi, and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev are chosen to be live.
Earlier this morning, @SpaceX Dragon spacecraft Endurance undocked from the @Space_Station carrying Crew-5 on their journey back to Earth.
