Five bodies were discovered on Friday, March 10, 2023 in a Miami Lakes residence, two of whom were identified as Rolando Aguilar’s son, age 34 and ex-wife, age 54. Aguilar said that his son Dhani Aguilar and his ex-wife Joanka Aguilar were killed in the house on Northwest 87 Court and 148 Terrace, but authorities had not yet confirmed this.

Police spokesman Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said that three of the victims were female and two were male; one of the male victims had committed suicide. A relative of the victims called 911 at around 9:50 a.m., prompting police to arrive at the residence at 10 a.m.
According to Zabaleta, police entered the house through a window when no one answered the door and discovered four shooting victims and a guy who had shot himself inside. Friday night, a crew from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office came and removed the remains from the residence.

The neighbors denied hearing gunfire. Police are looking into the possibility of a murder-suicide. Anybody who may have information regarding this crime was urged to contact the Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
