Christina Hendricks and Geoffrey Arend have decided to divorce after being married for ten years. According to court documents acquired, the Mad Men alumna filed for divorce from Arend on Friday in Los Angeles County Court.
Hendricks stated in the paperwork that the couple had “irreconcilable issues” and that they had separated on April 19, 2019. She has also asked for a return to her maiden name (Hendricks) and for the court to no longer have the authority to award spousal maintenance to either side.
The pair tied the knot on October 11, 2009, in New York City. Her co-star on “Mad Men,” Vincent Kartheiser, formally introduced them.
The Good Girls actress and the 41-year-old actor released a joint statement on their breakup on October 17.
“Twelve years ago we fell in love and became partners. We joined our two amazing families, had countless laughs, made wonderful friends and were blessed with incredible opportunities,” she began her Instagram message.
“Today we take our next step together, but on separate paths. We will always be grateful for the love we’ve shared and will always work together to raise our two beautiful dogs,” the Good Girls actress continued.
