Tom Sizemore, who was hospitalized with a brain aneurysm, has passed away. He was best known for his appearances in the military action films Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down. He was 61.

Tom’s manager Charles Lago confirmed his death on 3 March, two weeks after the actor collapsed due to a stroke causing an aneurysm. He has been in a coma since February 18 and has not regained consciousness.

“It is with great grief and sorrow that I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore (“Tom Sizemore”), aged 61, passed away quietly in his sleep today at St. Joseph’s Hospital Burbank,” his representative stated in a statement.

His 17-year-old brother Paul and his twin sons Jayden and Jagger were there for support. Paul released a statement expressing his “great sadness” about his older brother Tom’s passing.

“He was larger than life. He has influenced my life more than anyone I know. He was talented, loving, giving and could keep you entertained endlessly with his wit and storytelling ability. I am devasted he is gone and will miss him always.”

The actor’s representative has revealed that the twins are “devastated by the loss of their father.” A private cremation service for family members was confirmed by Lago, followed by a public memorial service in a few weeks.

Tom, Largo continued, “has had a fantastic couple of years, and he is really making progress in getting his life back on track.”

The actor’s loved ones are “deciding end-of-life matters,” as previously stated by Lago in a statement released earlier this week. Last Monday, “His physicians had given up hope and suggested an end-of-life decision to his family. At this point, the family is making end-of-life decisions, and we will release an additional statement on Wednesday “Later, Lago would elaborate.

Tom had legal issues throughout his life, the most notable being that he was allegedly sent home from the Utah set of Natural Born Killers in 2003 when an 11-year-old actress claimed the actor s*xually grabbed her, as many cast and crew members informed The Hollywood Reporter in 2017.

Thereafter, in 2018, the ex-actress reportedly sued the actor for $3 million, claiming that Tom was responsible for her lifelong injuries, which included PTSD and substance abuse. Despite the actor’s denials, a Utah court dismissed the civil complaint against him in 2020 without explaining his decision.

The attorney for the woman informed USA Today that the case was dropped due to Utah’s statute of limitations on s*x crimes, which had been upheld in a prior judgment by the Utah Supreme Court.

Tom had previously entered a no-guilty plea to two misdemeanor domestic abuse charges for hitting his girlfriend in July of 2016. After being found guilty of assaulting his then-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss and receiving a six-month prison sentence in 2003, he then broke his probation by contacting her and passing drug tests.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has had a lifelong battle with addiction and was arrested for cocaine possession as recently as 2019.
