Who is Alexander Jennings?
At the end of the ninth episode of Outer Banks’ third season, a dedication card reading “In loving memory of Alexander Jennings” was seen on screen. Stunt performer Alexander Jennings acted as a stand-in for Chase Stokes, the Outer Banks’s Pogues’ leader.
While filming the third season of Outer Banks for Netflix, he lived in South Carolina where he was born on August 3, 1999. Unfortunately, 22-year-old Alexander Jennings passed away on July 15, 2022 from injuries he sustained in a double hit and run.
The incident occurred close to the Charleston, South Carolina set. The casting agency that represented Chase Stokes, Kimmie Stewart Casting issued a statement confirming his death and paying tribute to him.

According to the release, Stokes relocated from New York to Charleston in order to serve as Chase Stokes’ stunt double. Alexander Jennings’s death came as a complete surprise to his loved ones who have been left devastated by his passing.
Jennings was a remarkable person with a contagious smile who will be sorely missed. Actor Chase Stokes also paid tribute to Alexander Jennings on social media. In his story, the actor revealed that he is still struggling to come to terms with Jennings’ death and is unable to fathom the motivations behind tragedies like this.

How Did Alexander Jennings Die?
The Charleston County Police Department claims that AJ was killed when two vehicles collided with him as he crossed a road on James Island. On the morning of July 5, 2022, at 2.30 a.m. local time, reports came in of an accident that apparently involved two cars, both of which fled the scene before police arrived.
After taking AJ to the hospital, paramedics learned that he was already deceased when they arrived at the Medical University of South Carolina. This incredible person and his contagious grin will be greatly missed.
