Who Dies in Outer Banks Season 3

Season 3 of Outer Banks is now available to watch on Netflix, and fans couldn’t be more ecstatic. John B. (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), J.J. (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and now Cleo (Claire Foy) are all available for honorary Pogues to meet up with (Carlacia Grant). Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, and with Season 3 now available, people are eager for a resolution.

Start watching Outer Banks Season 3 if you’re serious about finding out what happens (and who dies!). The previous season ended with the Pogues (and Cleo, who is now perhaps a Pogue) hiding out in a lifeboat to avoid Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) and his completely off-the-rails son Rafe (Drew Starkey). But, they were unable to retrieve the prized cross before making their dramatic exit.

The group eventually reached a barren island that they named Poguelandia. As well as this, Rafe vows vengeance for his dad, and Carla goes to Barbados to beg a mysterious guy for aid with her son in exchange for clues regarding the riches.

How does Season 3 of Outer Banks end for one of the Main Characters?

In Outer Banks Season 3, many important characters perish, including at least two major ones. In Season 3, we see the deaths of Portis, Tommy Sowell, Carlos Singh, Ryan and three of Carlos Singh’s smugglers. None of these imaginary deaths, however, are as momentous as Ward’s (Charles Esten) and Big John’s (for real this time) deaths this season (John Routledge).

Unfortunately, Big John dies right after we meet him. What about Ward, meanwhile? A lot of people are probably happy he’s dead and gone, yet despite his awful reputation, Ward passes away in a fairly dignified fashion.

Many times in Season 3 (and previously in Seasons 1 and 2), viewers saw Ward dangerously close to meeting his maker. Most famously, he pretended to die in a massive boat explosion in Season 2, only to have it all be an elaborate hoax.

Ward is still alive in Season 3, but he won’t be for much longer. Ward gives his life for his daughter Sarah in the third season finale. Minion of Carlos Singh Ryan tracks down the Pogues in South America, corners them, and threatens them with a gun. But, Ward unexpectedly intervenes and jumps on Ryan to protect his daughter. He takes a bullet, but he manages to foil Ryan’s plan. During the struggle, the two are pushed off the edge of the cliff and perish.

Big John, John B’s father, who John B believed to already be dead, is another major casualty of the season. Before the group can leave South America, Big John is shot by Carlos Singh, who follows close behind. Big John seems like he might survive at first (he keeps going and even defends the gold), but his wounds worsen and he bleeds to death.
