Season 2 of the zombie thriller The Last of Us has been confirmed making it one of the network’s most successful streaming shows even before season 1 concluded. Based on the 2013 video game of the same name, this post-apocalyptic drama has won over millions of viewers.
Since its premiere on January 15, The Last of Us has become HBO’s second most successful premiere in over a decade. Fans are just as hungry for a new season as the on-screen zombies’ thanks to the stellar work of Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie).
When Will The Last of Us Season 2 be Released?
HBO announced after only airing the first two episodes of the first season that this would not be the final chapter and the journey continues.
Need to know when other shows are going to air? Certainly, if that’s the case, you can look at our past articles about the premieres of other series:

Show creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann previously explained that they were expecting a second season, but no official release date has been announced as of yet.
The story of season 1 will likely wrap up and then continue on to the events of The Last of Us Part II in season 2 given how closely the TV show follows the video game. Pedro Pascal plays Joel, a jaded apocalypse survivor and Bella Ramsey play Ellie, a 14-year-old girl who may hold the key to humanity’s survival, in the cast.
After relocating to the Midwest with a group of survivors in Part II, the couple finds their new life threatened by a violent event.
