Kelsea Ballerini has opened up about her split from Morgan Evans. In a bombshell interview published on Tuesday(21, 2023), the “Blindsided” singer revealed why her four-year marriage ended in divorce. Ballerini discussed the breakup in the episode of her podcast, Call Her Daddy. On Tuesday, the “Young Again” singer appeared to address that episode.
The “Kiss Somebody” singer lamented on Instagram, It’s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with and loved with all my heart.
In Call Her Daddy interview Kelsey Ballerini said:
I come from a really, really broken family. I saw my parents struggle a lot with marriage. They split up after a very nasty divorce. They still shouldn’t even be in the same building. Because of her own parents’ split Ballerini swore she’d never take the same path.

Lipscomb University, which Ballerini attended is associated with Christian Churches. As per the People reports, She claimed that her education at a Nashville university had convinced her that engaging in s*xual activity before marriage was a surefire way to eternal damnation.
Before I got married, I had only one other s*xual experience and it was a terrible one. It was in a relationship, she said, but it was unhealthy. That’s why I didn’t see s*x as a way to connect with other people; rather, it was something that should be done for the benefit of the man.
For this reason, she felt “shame” before marrying Evans, which made it really difficult for them to connect s*xually from the very beginning. Ballerini admitted that she and Evans had numerous separations during their marriage and had been attending couples therapy for a long time.
She recalled:
I slept on the couch the night before the [2019] CMAs and I remember texting him and him being like, ‘I’ll see you on the carpet. There was, like, many a night of sleeping on the couch. She felt “resentful” and “tired” because the now-ex-couple had such a sense of disconnection.
