On Wednesday(February 15, 2023), a student at the University of Houston was found dead on campus. UHPD has stated that it is looking into the student’s death and that there are no signs of foul play or threat to the local community.
A pedestrian walkway on campus was the location of the student’s death. The university shared a Tweet on its official Twitter account after the death of the student and you can see the Tweet provided below:
Our community is deeply saddened after a student passed away on campus today. @UofHPolice is investigating and there is no indication of foul play.
There is no ongoing threat to our community.

Agnes Arnold Hall had no Wednesday meetings or appointments. UH advertised that students could reach counselors by dialing 713-743-5454 or by visiting Room 226 of the Student Service Center 1. On Wednesday at 5 o’clock, a vigil was scheduled to take place in the Student Center South. The student’s cause of death is mysterious.
