But, Dong-hyuk has revealed that he already has a basic scenario for season 2 mapped out in his thoughts. Hwang Dong-hyuk promised a second season at a red carpet event for a special showing at Neuehouse Hollywood, according to AP News.
Ted Sarandos, a chief content officer at Netflix, announced in January 2022 that season two of Squid Game would be produced.
