Lauren Fleshman, former athlete, runner, coach, and author, gave a surprise in this filled-with-love month by announcing their divorce after 20 years of marriage. Why Lauren Fleshman Announced Her Divorce After 20 Years?
Lauren Fleshman was born in 1981 and completed her education at Canyon High School and Standford University, where she remained 15 times All-American and five times NCAA champions. She several other titles she won like 5000 meters in 2001, 2002, and 2003 three continuous years. In 2002 she also won 3000 meters indoor NCAA titles. In 2007 she married Jesse Thomas in Bend Oregon. The couple was blessed with two children daughter Zadie and a son Jude.
Unfortunately, they announced their divorce on social media. Their fans are surprised but Laren announced on a social media post, “big news on the home front: After 20+ years, we have decided to end our romantic partnership. We will continue on in the truest expression of us – loving co-parents, best friends, confidants, and family.”
She also said that after 20 years of a successful marriage “Our relationship has evolved significantly a few times over the last decade toward this state, so while this news might feel sudden to some, it’s been in the works for a while with the support of a small group of family and friends. Still, processing this change has of course been hard, with lots of sadness and grief, and we know that will continue to ebb and flow. Lauren said in an Instagram post that we feel proud t our relationship and our love is still as it was at the beginning of the marriage,
“We are so proud of us. We fell in love as teenagers, we grew up together, we have two fantastic children together, we grew a business, adventured, and built a community. We have maintained love, respect, and support for one another through so many changes and life stages, including this one.
Our families will always be family, and we are and will remain good friends committed to the well-being of each other and our kids. There is a lot to look forward to, both as a family and separately. We like one another’s company and share community, so if you have an event you want to invite us both to, please do! Just don’t be surprised if one or both of us brings a date.”
Although she also said in the post that in the future they may capture together so nothing unexpected. Both feel love for each other no perfect reason is given by her for their divorce.
