By definition, backatomy describes a surgical operation that alters a patient’s anatomy. He may have been in discomfort and his Instagram post suggests he went to the operating room to receive some relief. After 35 years of excruciating discomfort, he finally decided to get surgery.
A picture of Ryan in the hospital with the text, Verified Update: Back in the hospital for another surgical procedure in the morning was posted to Ryan’s Instagram on January 11. Absolutely none of this was predetermined to occur. Having a blast despite the #setback!
The post suggests that after undergoing an enucleation, Ryan had no intention of undergoing further surgical procedures. Maybe things did not go smoothly and exactly as anticipated during the initial incision.

What Type of Issues Did Ryan Sickler Face During Surgery?
Following two operations in as many days, Ryan was hospitalized for almost a month. The operation was planned to be a quick outpatient back treatment that would take no more than three hours. A difficulty arose during the initial stages of Ryan’s operation, as he revealed in a Twitter post.
So many of you have asked about my recovery since I came in for a second emergency surgery and I’ll be honest, things got REALLY SCARY. Scary in a way I’m not comfortable disclosing right now. I appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, love, laughs, low-blows, & cheap shots. pic.twitter.com/sMn6QL9hQV

Due to unexpected complications during the first procedure, he had to undergo a second incision. The second resection left Ryan with a major pulmonary embolism in both lungs, which complicated his recovery. Ryan was released from the hospital after nearly a month of treatment because he was recovering nicely.
For the last time, Ryan updated about his health on his official Instagram account on January 27. In it, he explained in great detail what had occurred to him while he was in the hospital.
Sickler is a man of strength and determination, as seen by the fact that he overcome a difficult position and bounced back to good health.
