The late “Saturday Night Live” cast member Tom Arnold claims he gave the comedian Chris Farley a stern warning before some time of his death. He said to Chris, “You can’t be super fat and do drugs, that’s death” the 63-year-old star Tom Arnold exclusively told Page Six.
As per the reports of Pagesix.com, Tom said to him, You have to make a decision. You can’t do both and it’s for the best that you don’t try. Farley’s sober sponsor, Arnold recalled the time the “Tommy Boy” stayed at his house in Los Angeles. The former Roseanne star explained,
He sits down and we tell him how much we love him and we want him to go to this rehab, it’s all set up. To get more heroin he says, I’m going to do this but I need to run back to New York just to grab some stuff.
A therapist, however eventually persuaded Farley to enter treatment. The therapist remarked, Actually, if you come with now, the first thing we do at rehab gives you drugs because we don’t want you to have seizures. According to Arnold, Farley checked himself into treatment centers sixteen times.
An autopsy conducted by the Cook County coroner revealed that the 33-year-old “Beverly Hills Ninja” star had died from a combination of cocaine and morphine in 1997. The actor’s death was attributed in part to advanced atherosclerosis, the buildup of fats cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls.
He has been fighting for a long time, Arnold said. Matthew’s difficulties resemble those of Chris Farley with the caveat that Matthew kept returning to the 12-step stuff even though he wasn’t necessarily doing it correctly. Yet eventually he came to the conclusion, “Oh if I continue this, I’m going to die for sure.”
