The Next Battle Pass in Overwatch 2 Season 3 will Give in-Game Cash

Overwatch 2 Season 3

Overwatch 2 Season 3

Blizzard has issued a statement discussing the lessons learned from the first two seasons of Overwatch 2 and how they will inform the development of the game going forward. Adjustments to Ramattra, the new tank hero, and the return of Overwatch Credits, which can be used to acquire additional skins without spending real money, are among these improvements.

The game’s newest tank, Ramattra is an innovative omnic with a scary Nemesis Form. According to Blizzard’s official blog, “Ramattra’s original release was welcomed with a lot of excellent response in terms of fun factor.” But it was obvious that you didn’t think Ramattra would work in enough contexts.

Since releasing Ramattra, Blizzard has increased his strength in Nemesis form, providing him with more armor and speed and decreasing the cooldown on the Void Barrier that he may use in his omnic form. Due to his status as one of the team’s most potent tanks Blizzard plans to tone down his ultimate ability Annihilation.

Overwatch 2 Season 3’s Annihilation Timer Now Counts Down More Slowly

Overwatch 2 Season 3 Updates

Annihilation’s timer will now clock down more slowly if adversaries are present and have a maximum of 20 seconds as of Season 3. This should reduce the prevalence of abusive uses of Annihilation while opening up opportunities for more strategic play and preserving the devastating nature of the ability.

With Overwatch 2, Blizzard is bringing back the non-game playable credits from the first game, which were known as Legacy Credits. In Season 3, the battle pass grants players 1,500 free credits, with an additional 500 available on the premium track.

Seasonal event mode skins, like with all other epic and legendary skins, will cost you 1,500 credits when Overwatch 2 launches. A legendary skin is available to those who have completed the battle pass once per season. Blizzard claims it’s looking at other ways to spend credits, saying, “These adjustments aren’t the end of our journey to make Overwatch 2 a more rewarding game to play.”

Blizzard’s reflections on seasonal game modes like Battle for Olympus are also posted here. The studio is “generally delighted” with Battle for Olympus’s reception, but it is taking players’ concerns about the difficulty of obtaining hero titles, completing challenges, and having killed in the environment count toward achievements into account for future patches. Additionally, Blizzard plans to roll out reworks to the “on fire” mechanism and ranked matching.
