Unfortunately, Lauren London’s road to recovery will never end in triumph. In an exclusive interview with E! News, the actress revealed that she has “only started” to heal after the loss of her partner of three years, Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed in 2016.

Lauren, a whose second project with Puma will honor the late rapper and drop on November 11, said, “It’s something that will continue forever.” It’s not like healing is a straight line; it has its ups and downs, so I’m not sure I’ve reached the end of this process yet.

Lauren said, “Healing isn’t easy for everyone,” and she added, “It takes practice for me.”

“Is definitely something I have to be extremely intentional about in practice,” she explained, adding that she’s now focused on seeing the bigger picture in the universe. “I used to always pray for understanding, and now it’s the overstanding. It is the bird’s eye view of it all.”

Lauren London, a former cast member of “The Game,” has released a 10-piece capsule collection with Puma called “LA Love Story,” which was inspired by the city that gave her so much. Given that Nipsey was also a Los Angeles native, Lauren used his mantra “It’s not on you, it’s in you” on certain items of the collection to pay tribute to the late hip-hop legend.

“When he would always say it to me, [it] was always a reminder that nothing outside of myself makes me who I am,” she said of the phrase. “What makes you who you are is within you and no one can take that away from you. Your light, your purpose, all that is within you.”

Lauren elaborated on how Nipsey’s motivational words “always brought me out of ruts and reminded me of my truth,” saying that this is still the case today.

“In my life now, anything that I do I want it to have purpose and I want it to be intentional,” she said. “I hope that he would be proud that I am taking a chance on myself.”

London has said, “Any and everything I accomplish will always be credited to him in my heart,” meaning that she will continue to honor Nipsey even after she has finished her own recovery process.
