He has evaded capture for a long time, making him a top U.S. and Mexican wanted man.
Who is El Mencho?
Known by his street moniker “El Mencho,” Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes is a Mexican drug lord and the presumed head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
On July 17, 1966, he entered this world in Michoacán, Mexico. According to The Courier-Journal, El Mencho is among the world’s most powerful drug kingpins, with over 5,000 collaborators spread over every continent bar Antarctica.
