Do you know if The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer has arrived or not? Fans of Mandalorian Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal/Brendan Wayne) and his little Force-sensitive kid Grogu are going crazy waiting for The Mandalorian Season 3, which is set to premiere in March. Lucasfilm debuted a new trailer at the NFL Wild Card Game on January 31 to hold fans over until the March 1 launch.
Just like the first video from September, this one suggests that the two will visit Mandalore. Now that they are back together and Grogu has put his Jedi training on hold for the time being, they will go meet with other Mandalorians on their homeworld. In addition, they will reunite with Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) to deal with the aftermath of Din’s (Giancarlo Esposito) victory over Moff Gideon (Kevin Durand) for the Darksaber and the subsequent rule of Mandalore. Captain Carson Teva issues a stern warning to Din in the preview (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee)
Esposito hinted at Season 3’s considerably grander and epic scope in an interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub, saying:
“I love the mythology that goes behind this show that’s incorporated into the visuals that seem to be filmic. And I love the fact that you’re able to see, with each episode this season, you’re really turning on a new movie. Visually, it’s a sight and sound extravaganza that expands you to a place that.”
Season 1 introduced us to the story’s setting, while Mandalorian Season 2 brought in canon characters like Bo-Katan (Temuera Morrison), Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill/Max Llyod-Jones), with Mandalorian Season 3 presumably tying the two together. It is likely that we will find out what Moff Gideon desired with Grogu’s blood and whose interests, if any, he is serving with the return of Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) in the new season.
Din’s old friends, such as Navarro’s magistrate Greef Karga, will come back for Mandalorian season 3. Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris), a mechanic from Tatooine, is also coming back, which might mean an appearance by either Boba Fett or Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen). Worse yet, Emily Swallow’s The Armorer will be making her first public appearance after banishing Din from the Mandalorians for the infraction of not wearing a helmet at all times. Legendary actor Christopher Lloyd has also been confirmed to feature in the series, though his exact role will not be revealed until the March premiere.
Directing duties will be shared by Weathers, Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey and Bryce Dallas Howard. The Mandalorian Season 3 will debut on March 1.
