Dangerous slipperiness Multiple accidents occurred in the state of Connecticut on Saturday morning. It has been claimed that icy roads contributed to multiple accidents in the towns of Bolton, Litchfield and Tolland.

The initial collision occurred on Bolton’s eastbound I-384. According to authorities, a multi-vehicle collision is to blame for the road closure in Bolton Notch.

Then two collisions happened on Route 8 in Litchfield. Officials from Harwinton Volunteer Fire said many accidents happened in rapid succession on a bridge over the Naugatuck River and the Litchfield Town Line. One vehicle skidded and collided with the bridge rail. A second vehicle swerved to avoid the first but crashed into the barrier. The injuries to the drivers were not life-threatening.
