Robbie Knievel, after landing crash-first after jumping his motorbike over a gap measuring 220 feet (61 meters) at an Indian reserve outside Grand Canyon National Park in 1999, remarked that his father had always wanted to jump the amazing natural landmark in Arizona but never did. After a spectacular fall, Robbie Knievel suffered a broken leg.
In September of 1974 nevertheless, Evel Knievel tried to jump over a gaping hole in Idaho’s Snake River Canyon which was almost a mile wide. There are no plans for a funeral service at this time but Kelly Knievel has announced that his brother will be laid to rest in Butte, Montana, near other relatives.
