Maybe Milly Alcock got a little too drunk at the Golden Globes. On Tuesday night, the audience was treated to the “House of the Dragon” actress, who, along with co-star Emma D’Arcy and director Miguel Sapochnik, seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. As Sapochnik accepted the award for Best Television Series, the 22-year-old leaned on D’arcy for support.
Alcock laughed, pointed at a member of the audience, and covered her mouth with her finger the entire time he spoke. Fans of the “Upright” star were so pleased by his antics that they discussed them on Twitter.
One commenter put it best: “Milly Alcock wasted at the Golden Globes is top tier.”
“Milly Alcock drunk off her arse at the Golden Globes being my spirit animal is sending me,” wrote another user of the social networking service.
A third participant chimed in, drunk Milly Alcock at the golden globes you will always be famous. Later that night, Alcock appeared to confirm her inebriated state via Instagram Stories when she reposted a photo of herself laughing it up with Sapochnik.
She scribbled “Ummmm” over the embarrassing photo.
Page Six has reached out to a representative for Alcock, but has not yet heard back.
The HBO series, which is a prequel to “Game of Thrones” and an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s novel “Fire and Blood,” stars Alcock as a young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.
About 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen (played by Sophie Turner) plot to determine who will succeed Paddy Considine’s, King Joffrey.
During an interview with the New York Post in September 2022, Alcock claimed that the controversial incest scene with her character’s uncle, Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), was easy to film.
Alcock stated, “[We] were just kind of mates.” So, it was a very cozy experience.
She went on to say, “We had an intimacy coordinator, and we worked with her through the rehearsal process and blocked it out months prior.”
