Barmageddon Season 1, which airs on USA Network, is due to return for its second episode of the first season very soon. On Monday, December 12, 2022, at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT, WWE legend Nikki Bella will host a brand-new reality TV competition.
Blake Shelton and Carson Daly, his co-star and host on The Voice, executive produce the first season of Barmageddon. The new show has Hollywood A-listers playing a variety of drinking games hosted by Blake at his pub Ole Red.
But there’s a catch: every week, two new celebrities come and compete to be the show’s victor, and the classic games have a twist like never before. For the second episode of Barmageddon, Blake’s wife, The Voice Season 22 coach Gwen Stefani, will compete against Sheryl Crow.
There isn’t much time left until the second episode of USA Network’s Barmageddon airs, so here’s everything you need to know before it premieres.
Barmageddon Season 1 Episode 2 features Gwen Stefani and Sheryl Crow as Drunken Axe Hole
The second episode of Barmageddon is titled “Gwen Stefani vs. Sheryl Crow” and it pits the two famous women against each other in a series of modified bar games. Each of them will be paired with a “civilian” whose embarrassing online video has gone viral.
The victorious team gets a trophy and bragging rights, while the losers have to take the “walk of shame” back to their quarters empty-handed. Drunken Axe Hole is one of the activities the two celebrities will play, and it involves throwing axes at a target while inebriated. Billboard offered an exclusive preview for the episode, in which Gwen Stefani can be seen trying her hand at axe throwing. The celebrity fails to make all three shots.
Daly remarks that the singer should have been able to “see Blake’s face” all along. Sheryl Crow, meanwhile, makes an excellent throw and admits that she’s engaged in this activity previously.
The USA Network saw massive viewership increases because of Blake Shelton’s celebrity game show Barmageddon Season 1
USA Network’s new game program Barmageddon, hosted by Blake Shelton and Carson Daly, has been drawing in large audiences. When it first aired on December 5th, 1.2 million people tuned in, making it the highest-watched series premiere for the network in nearly three years, according to live + 3 days Nielsen statistics.
That’s the highest delayed viewing lift ever for USA Network’s unscripted shows, up roughly 81% from the same-day audience. In addition, the show had the highest 18-49 premiere rating for the network in over three years.
Air Cannon Cornhole, Keg Curling, Drunken Axe Hole, Sharts (“Shelton Darts”), and more are just some of the outrageous bar activities that Shelton, Daly and host Nikki Bella put on display during Barmageddon at Shelton’s Nashville pub, Ole Red.
“With Daly tending bar and Shelton leading his house band in live musical sing-alongs, these icons and celebrity favorites exhibit a different side of themselves in this not-your-typical game show where everyone is invited to the party. The logline reads, “The pair offers words of encouragement — and no shortage of heckling — to their celebrity buddies, and steps in to show off their own skills on occasion.”
The show’s executive producers are Blake Shelton, Carson Daly, Lee Metzger and White Label’s Chris Wagner, and it airs on USA. Each Monday at 11 p.m., USA Network showed Barmageddon. Gwen Stefani takes on Sheryl Crow in tonight’s episode.
