Why was Mark Curry Racially Profiled by Hotel Staff in Colorado?
Saturday, Colorado Springs comedian Mark Curry claimed he was the victim of racial profiling at the hands of workers at The Mining Exchange A Wyndham Grand Hotel & Spa. Since then, he has received an outpouring of support (Dec. 10). It seems that Curry was relaxing in the hotel lobby when a white male worker walked up to him, asked if he was a guest and then asked to see his identification.
The “Family Reunion” star was live on Instagram and posted the entire 26-minute broadcast. Curry titled the photo, “Black man in a hotel lobby.” It’s not possible that he has a bed here. Can’t say that; I’m quite comfortable in my own suite. Without a nametag or identification, he approaches me. And he wanted to see my room key to the hotel. This is typical of the racist Wyndham community. 719-323-2000 To contact them, dial their number. In addition to his duties as head of security, Jhon Crab also oversees the facility’s upkeep.

The man in the video appeared irritated as he stood in front of Curry and asked for confirmation of his guest status. Another man from the staff was standing nearby and he seemed to be watching the exchange with interest. The actor also showed the two men following him around the lobby.

On returning to his room, Curry said, This is some bulls**t. This is the norm in the United States. The poor motherf***er was inconsolable. Exactly what he was having issues with, I cannot say. He specifically told me to stay out of the lobby. He came up to me, interrupted me and said, “This lobby is private.” He then encouraged his fan base to “f***
them up by calling the hotel to complain about the way he was treated there.

The 26-minute clip shows the man staying put until he finds out whether or not Curry is a visitor. The lobby is off-limits to Black people in Colorado Springs, according to Curry. “Wow! What we have here is insanity, no doubt about it.” When Curry questioned the surveillance, another guard said he was using the “race card.”
Curry also recorded the men tailing him around the hotel in another segment. Later, he went to the front desk and told the woman there that he needed to call the police because the man he thought was security had refused to identify himself. That guy has been following me around and I want to report him to the authorities. No idea who he is, During his live broadcast, Curry told the woman. The desk clerk informed Curry that he was one of their engineers and asked if the comedian was a guest for safety’s sake.
Mark Curry was at The Mining Exchange in downtown COS and apparently they harassed him in the lobby. Bro was here putting on a show literally a block away. Mind you, the lobby is a bar and they advertise it as such. pic.twitter.com/gY7jfmQzDj
