Lisa Robin Kelly Death: The part of Laurie Forman on That ’70s Show brought Lisa Robin Kelly the most fame and recognition. On the US sitcom that also catapulted the careers of Topher Grace, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher she first gained widespread recognition.
Whereas the others went on to enjoy fruitful careers in Hollywood, Lisa’s acting career began to decline after she was unable to land another role.
She passed away suddenly on August 15, 2013, at the age of 43. Lisa had been arrested multiple times in the three years before her murder, including for DUI, domestic violence, and assault, and she had been suffering from her addictions in the months leading up to her death.
Lisa checked herself into the Pax Rehab House in Altadena, California, days before she passed away, in an attempt to get sober. The tragedy, though, was that just a few days later she was discovered dead in her chamber.

“Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away,” her agent Craig Wycoff confirmed at the time.
“Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years.
“I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her.
“Last night she lost the battle.”
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office determined that Lisa had died of unintentional “multiple drug intoxication” a few months after her death, however, the cause of death was not immediately clear.
After hearing reports that there was no sign of drugs or alcohol in her room at the time of her deat, authorities quickly classified her death as a “mystery.”
Needle marks on Lisa’s arm were reportedly discovered by paramedics who were called to her treatment facility, as reported by TMZ. But her boyfriend argued that she wasn’t abusing drugs and that this was actually how she was receiving treatment. Lisa’s final months were quite tumultuous.
Before she passed away in December, she and her 61-year-old husband Robert Joseph Gilliam were arrested for causing a disturbance in their North Carolina home the previous November.
In time, Lisa went through with a divorce petition. Today is a wonderful day for me since I am finally, finally free. LMFAO. She announced the news on Twitter: “I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH MY MARRIAGE.”
And then, in June, only a few months before her untimely demise, she was detained once more, this time on DUI charges.
Robert, her estranged husband, sued Pax House and its owners, James and Marcia Burnett, for wrongful death after she passed away, claiming that they were “improperly equipped to care for patients such as his wife.”
He claimed he deserved “unspecified damages” for “the loss of love, affection, society, comfort, support…expectations of future help and counseling, companionship, solitude, mental support, and other advantages and assistance,” according to court records filed in July 2014.
After three years, his attorney finally revealed that they had settled, but did not reveal the amount.

It was determined that the death was accidental and that the fatal damage was brought on by ingestion. Kelly died on August 15 at a California rehabilitation facility after a long battle with drug addiction.
A representative for her at the time confirmed the tragic news, adding, “Lisa checked herself into a rehab center early this week to combat the drug issues that have plagued her for years. Kelly was arrested multiple times in the months leading up to her death. On the 22nd of June, she was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. This was the actress’ second DUI arrest; she had previously pleaded guilty to a similar crime in 2010.
