Pokémon Scarlet and Violet look Horrible even the Trees

Pokémon Violet

Pokémon Violet

Many reviewers have pointed out that the Nintendo Switch has trouble keeping up with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Nevertheless, it is one thing to learn about problems with performance in the abstract. Seeing the character models clip across each other in the game while the framerate stutters adds a lot of comedic value.

When you throw a Pokéball, objects in the background suddenly vanish at random.
While I knew that Pokéballs were powerful enough to digitize Pokémon inside their fist-sized capabilities, I was unaware of their ability to alter the space around them as well. At least they did, and they also made the framerate jerk around in discomfort.

When People are close together, They clip each other

The two of you are practically one person as you go down the street, which is a step up from the usual level of public display of affection. God, these two need to find someplace to sleep. Alternatively, a better representation. A choice must be made between the two.

She doesn’t even chew the Sandwich before Throwing it out

While I don’t claim to be an expert on the subject, I’m pretty sure that when you eat a sandwich, it goes in your mouth and not next to it. Nothing fancy, just an animated rendition of someone munching on a sandwich would suffice. Despite my high hopes, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet ended up disappointing me.

Sometimes the camera will wander away from the player

Several layers of meaning can be extracted from these recordings, such as the seemingly random appearance of NPCs. Because of what happened with wild Pokémon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, I’m not too surprised.

A similar problem exists with the framerate. The second video really caught me off guard because the camera had a hard time keeping up with the player as they rode a Koraidon. What’s more, it doesn’t even travel very quickly.

Pokemon in Schrödinger’s Box

These Pachirisu certainly appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. Not to mention you wreck your Koraidon motorcycle on a pile of boxes.

The Pokémon are encased in a Brick Wall

Shiny Pokémon are animated with sparkles, which is good because some of them are stuck in walls. That’s a Deino (you’ll have to stretch your imagination a little).

Physical manifestations of Characters’ Stumbling Gait

Because of the stuttering, I have included the following video. The ugliness of the waterfall backdrop, however, was what really shocked me. You wouldn’t find this on a cutting-edge device like the Nintendo Switch, but rather the PlayStation 2.

The camera falls to the floor as Pokéballs hit it

The camera is launched through the air in a pokéball and lands on the wild Pokémon above ground. As we know from previous Pokéball footage, the framerate is also suffering a horrible demise.

Starting tomorrow, you can pick up Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet and begin your own personal collection of the worst glitches in the main series Pokémon games.
