What happened in the Mar-a-Lago ballroom on Tuesday night was a strange hybrid of a Trump rally and a glittering banquet. Former Trump administration officials such as former OMB director Russ Vought, speechwriter Stephen Miller and former acting intelligence director Richard Grenell were among the hundreds in attendance.
Former North Carolina Representative Madison Cawthorn Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Michigan Republican Party Chair Meshawn Maddock were all in attendance. Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow and Alex Stein a right-wing internet prankster were both in attendance.
Kushner attended the gathering, as did Ivanka Trump’s brother Eric Trump. Kushner has set up an investment firm and written a memoir about his time in the White House, but unlike his wife, he has not publicly ruled out a return to politics.
