NFL Roundup: The Minnesota Vikings rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit to defeat the Buffalo Bills 33-30 on Sunday when Patrick Peterson’s interception of Josh Allen with 1:12 remaining in overtime finally put a stop to the sloppy but entertaining back-and-forth contest between two of the NFL‘s top teams.
Two errors by Allen allowed the Vikings to gain the upper hand late in the fourth quarter when the quarterback fumbled in the end zone after handling a snap improperly.
With 3:42 left in overtime, Greg Joseph kicked a 33-yard field goal to put the Vikings up to stay. The game wasn’t gone until Peterson intercepted a throw intended for Gabe Davis a few yards into the end zone after Josh Allen forced one over the middle on a second and-10 situation at the Minnesota 20. He exited the field and slid to the ground to conclude the game.
For the NFC North-leading Vikings, Kirk Cousins threw for 357 yards while Justin Jefferson had a monster night with 10 catches for 193 yards (8-2). For the seventh time this season, Minnesota overcame a deficit with two and a half minutes or less to play in regulation to win.

Since his concussion recovery, Tua Tagovailoa has been in scorching form, tossing three touchdown passes to help the Miami Dolphins earn their fourth straight victory.
Tagovailoa connected with three receivers in a contest that was already lopsided by the fourth quarter to record his third straight three-touchdown performance. Tagovailoa has 10 touchdown throws and no interceptions since coming back in Week 7.
He completed 25 of his 32 passes for a total of 285 yards. In their 491-yard total offense versus Cleveland, the Dolphins (7-3) were led by Jeff Wilson’s 119 yards on 17 carries (3-6).

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys and former coach Mike McCarthy’s team to snap a five-game losing streak. Aaron Rodgers completed three touchdown passes to rookie Christian Watson and directed a 55-yard drive in overtime that resulted in Mason Crosby’s game-winning field goal.

The 37-year-old quarterback converted a third-and-3 with a 39-yard run to the Raiders’ 36-yard line just before the touchdown with 5:07 remaining.
Jacksonville Jaguars 17-27 Kansas City Chiefs
In his second game for the Chiefs, Kadarius Toney showed flashes of brilliance while Patrick Mahomes tossed for 331 yards and four touchdowns as Kansas City sailed to victory.
Toney, who was recently acquired from the Giants, contributed to the Chiefs’ (7-2) sixth consecutive victory over the Jaguars with 33 yards of rushing, four catches for 57 yards and his first touchdown reception in the NFL.
The victory cost Kansas City because early in the game, Jacksonville safety Andre Cisco struck wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster helmet to helmet, putting him in concussion protocol.
Detroit Lions 31–30 Chicago Bears
Jared Goff threw for 236 yards and a touchdown, Jamaal Williams scored on a one-yard run in the final seconds and the Detroit Lions defeated another outstanding performance by Justin Fields of Chicago. After losing five straight games, the Lions (3-6) scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to win their second straight game.
Fields had the best rushing total by an NFL quarterback in a regular-season game since at least 1940 with 147 yards and two TDs after going for 178 the week before against Miami. In the Super Bowl era, he became the only quarterback to score multiple rushing touchdowns of 60 yards or more in the same season.
Houston Texans 16–24 New York Giants
Saquon Barkley ran for 152 yards and a touchdown and Daniel Jones threw two touchdown passes as the unexpected New York Giants emerged victorious from their bye week.
The Giants (7-2) scored on their first possession of both half to take a 14-3 lead, and Jones, who was 13 of 17 for 197 yards connected with tight end Lawrence Cager for a nine-yard touchdown pass and Darius Slayton for a 54-yard catch and run.
Seattle Seahawks 16–21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers upset the Seattle Seahawks in the first regular-season game played in Germany thanks to two touchdown passes from Tom Brady, who maintained his perfect record abroad. Brady completed touchdown passes to Julio Jones, Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette as the Buccaneers (5-5) moved above.500 and ended Seattle’s four-game winning run.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine caught two touchdown catches from Ryan Tannehill as the Tennessee Titans overcame a 10-point deficit to defeat the Denver Broncos 17-10.
The Titans (6-3) have won six of their last seven games. After missing the previous two games due to a sprained right ankle, Tannehill made his comeback but he struggled to get going as the Titans fell down 10-0 in the second quarter and trailed 208-53 in total yards just before halftime.
Denver arrived rested after a bye week but that didn’t help as the Broncos (3-6) have now dropped five straight games.
After halftime, the Broncos had numerous scoring opportunities but came up empty. Terrance Mitchell, who previously lost a potential pick, tipped and intercepted Russell Wilson’s throw on fourth-and-8 from the Titans 25 with 11 seconds left, denying him one more opportunity to tie the game.
Arizona Cardinals 27–17 Los Angeles Rams
The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Los Angeles Rams despite losing Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp to a potentially critical ankle injury. Colt McCoy tossed for 238 yards in his first game of the year, James Conner scored twice on the ground and the Cardinals held on for the victory.
Injuries to starting quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Kyler Murray forced both clubs to use their backups. McCoy connected with DeAndre Hopkins 10 times for 98 yards and a touchdown pass to AJ Green while John Wolford of Los Angeles had a much more erratic day and only completed 212 yards of passes.
New Orleans Saints 10–20 Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers drew away from the sluggish New Orleans Saints after scoring scores on one-yard runs from Kenny Pickett and George Pickens.
The Steelers (3-6) defeated the Saints for just the second time in eight games after holding them to 186 yards thanks to the outstanding outside linebacker TJ Watt’s return. Pittsburgh forced two fourth-quarter interceptions, twice sacked Andy Dalton and prevented the Saints from mounting a late comeback (3-7).
