The Brown Family Is Shaken By Tragedy, As Seen On "Sister Wives"

Kody Brown’s first wife, Meri Brown cried on Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives. The TLC star said very little during the first few minutes of the episode when tensions rose between her divorced husband and his other sister wives over the COVID rules.

About midway through the episode, however, Meri was spotted driving the five hours to the nearest hospital. Bonnie, her mother, was hospitalized for two days before her daughter revealed that doctors had diagnosed her with a prolonged heart attack. At this point, events took a turn for the worse and Meri was urged to visit her mother in the hospital before she passed away.

“I’m not ready for it,” Meri sobs. Just 76 years young, she says. Meri’s mother passes away just as she is about an hour away from the hospital. The audience witnessed her anguished response as she struggled to process the tragedy while operating a motor vehicle.

I have no idea what I’m doing!” Meri sobs. “This happened so quickly and unexpectedly. That’s not how it’s supposed to work.” Everyone else in the family is saddened by the news remembering the joy Bonnie brought into their lives. “Mother-in-law number one was Bonnie. If I’m being honest, I think I first fell for her.” Laughing, Kody says. That woman is the nicest person I’ve ever met.

Robyn reveals that Bonnie, another member of Kody’s plural marriage has always been accepting of her. “Bonnie has always made me feel like we’ve been best friends forever. It was always a pleasure to be in her company “What Robyn has to say. “I felt like I was part of the family whenever I was there.”

Christine, whose own family was religious says that Bonnie nudged her toward reconciliation with her mother. “No one knew what to do with my mom after she abandoned our church. What to do with her, I wondered “Christine gives in and says so. “Bonnie just kept on me about making up with my mom. True to her essence, Bonnie is just like that.”

Then, Meri gives an update, breaking down in tears as she discusses her mother’s unexpected death. “At this point, I am at a loss for action. In terms of my future, I have no idea what to expect “During a candid interview, she reveals. “Because she’s always been there, there’s a lot I have to figure out.”

In March of 2021, Meri’s mother passed away. Meri had written a heartfelt tribute to the departed grandmother at the time. It was not enough time for the world to feel the beautiful spirit of this beautiful woman, she wrote because she lived only 76 years and 17 days.

“This lady whose sole purpose in life was to love and help others. This selfless woman never asked for anything in return. Here’s a lady who’d put her life on hold for you. This courageous, forgiving, and kind female. This woman was always a secure landing spot, no matter the circumstances.”
