The Cornhuskers football team lose a match with Georgia Southern, at their home place, Nebraska. And the result comes out as they fired their coach. Although, this was the weakest team till now as they were the champion of 1997. After Tom Osborne was out of the team they went on the back foot as they win only 10 matches in a season.

3. Jamey Chadwell, Head Coach, Coastal Carolina

6. Jim Leonhard, Defensive Coordinator, Wisconsin

The former Badgers player of football, one of the best defensive in his college. His defense is at 5 ranks in the last 5 seasons. Now Nebraska can take a chance with Leonhard.

7. Jeff Monken, Head Coach, Army

Jeff Monken has also supervised a program of five seasons of winning since 2014. At Georgia, Southern Monken scored 38-16 over West Point. So Nebraska had one more coach to get appointed.

8. Bill O’Brien, Offensive Coordinator, Alabama

Bill O’Brien is one of the best opportunities to choose if you wanted to appoint a coach. He is currently signed by Nick Saban also he had an experience with Big Ten schools as an ahead coach. Bill who is 52 years, also performs as a coach of the Houston Texans In the NFL. 

9. Matt Rhule, Head Coach, Carolina Panthers

As you all know Rhule appeared in the 2022 NFL season and from 2013 to 2016 he teach Baylor against Temple. No, he connected with Carolina Panthers. He won 10 games in each season he participated. But he had no experience to coached Big Ten.

10. Dave Doeren, Head Coach, NC State

Like another head coach, Dave also worked as an assistant with Kansas and Wisconsin. One more thing he has an experience in the Big Ten and he is very familiar with this area. He is Power 5 coach.

11. Luke Fickell, Head Coach, Cincinnati

Luke is an Ohio native and a former player of football who played for his state team. To maintain their standard Nebraska would have to try with Luke. He could be a good replacement for Scott.

12. Lance Leipold, Head Coach, Kansas

Lance worked as an assistant with Nebraska-Omaha from 2004-2006. Also, he worked for The Cornhuskers from 2001 to 2003 and he place at 6th rank in the championship. Now he performed for Kansas, so he may be an excellent choice for them.

13. Chris Klieman, Head Coach, Kansas State

Kleiman is known for being three times winners of national titles. Now he is hired by North Dakota State in 2014. He won twice from Oklahoma and he has knowledge of this region. So he may be fit for Scott’s position.

14.  Mark Stoops, Head Coach, Kentucky

Being a former Iowa player Mark is connected with Big Ten and he has enough experience to remake any program as Nebraska wants. But if they hire him, they have to change to regret their decision.

15. Tom Herman

If Nebraska considers Tom he can remake his college career, he worked as an assistant with Ohio State with Urban Meyer. He also coached Houston Texas and in 2021, he connected with the Chicago Bears team.

16. Nebraska interim head coach Mickey Joseph

Recently Mickey join Nebraska after Scott was dismissed. So, they can experience if he is good for them or not for a full-time job. Previously he worked with LSU under Ed Orgeron and played quarterback from 1988 to 1991.
