Possible wedding bells for Billy Ray Cyrus and the artist Firerose. On Tuesday, the singers posted a photo to Instagram together, including a close-up of the two of them in front of an orange tree.

Instead of the changing leaves, all eyes were on the diamond ring that Firerose wore. Fans were convinced that the rock was confirmation of their engagement, but a Cyrus representative declined to comment when asked.

Firerose shared a series of photos to Instagram on September 14 showing her standing behind a waggon wheel while wearing a diamond ring prompting speculation that Cyrus had proposed.

“The world is a better place with you in it. Happy Birthday Billy,” the Australian singer wrote alongside a selfie with the country star.

They tied the knot in 1993 and have been happily raising a blended family ever since. A Cyrus family insider told that the two had “been dating for a little while” after the magazine had first reported on the couple’s connection.

Then, the insider said, “As they spent more time together creating music, they became close. What happens, happens. Before he began dating Tish, he and she had been over.”

On August 25, 1961, Billy Ray Cyrus was born to steelworker turned politician Ron Cyrus and his wife, the former Ruth Ann Casto in Flatwoods Kentucky. Cyrus began his musical career at the tender age of four. In 1966, he was raised by a single mother when his parents split up. His paternal grandfather ministered in the Pentecostal church. He was raised on a steady diet of bluegrass and gospel.

Cyrus tried to play his right-handed father’s guitar when he was a kid but he was left-handed. He initially went to Georgetown University on a sports scholarship, but then switched to music.
