His Dark Materials Season 3 will premiere on the expected date and an unexpected character will be making a return.
A preview of the first two episodes of Season 3 was shown at the show’s panel at New York Comic Con, and they will premiere on Monday, December 5 in the United States. Although it will be released in the UK in December, no specific date has been announced as of yet.
Cast members James McAvoy and Amir Wilson as well as showrunners Jane Tranter and Dan McCulloch, attended the panel to discuss the upcoming premiere of the series’ double episode.

After the credits rolled, viewers were teased with a scene featuring Lewin Lloyd, who played Lyra’s friend Roger, so we knew he would be back.
The books inspired Lin-Manuel to take on the role of Scoresby, and he explained his choice to Entertainment Weekly “When I accepted the job, I kept that in mind. One of the most tragic deaths in literature, or at least the literature I’m familiar with, is one I’ll have to act out.”
Miranda continued, “I know his character will be back, in some form “I would respond to any summons for Lee, whether she appears physically or not. The whole Jones clan yearns for a return trip to Wales.”
The British broadcast of His Dark Materials may be seen on BBC One, while American viewers can watch it on HBO.
