Actor Mark Wahlberg is looking out for his children’s best interests. The 51-year-old actor and father of four (daughters Grace, 12, and Ella, 19, and sons Brendan, 14, and Michael, 16) stopped into The Talk on Tuesday to discuss the “greatest problem” he faces as a working father.
“I spend all of my leisure time at home,” Wahlberg has revealed.
Mark Wahlberg continued, “We went to Nevada, where, after this gubernatorial race, ideally we go to legislation and have a measure approved so we can obtain tax credits for the state, establish a state-of-the-art studio here, and make this Hollywood 2.0.”
“So to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams — whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer — this made a lot more sense for us,” said the Uncharted star.
To “give ourselves a new face, a fresh start for the kids, and there are tonnes of possibility here,” as Wahlberg put it, he and Durham, 44, relocated to the area.

He continued, “I’m genuinely thrilled about the future.”
Wahlberg has always been encouraging of his kids’ interests, and earlier this year he shared how he plans to teach his kids about his faith.
In an April interview on the TODAY show, Wahlberg explained that his devotion to Father Stu stems from the fact that the film is autobiographical for him as a practicing Catholic. In any case, he has no intention of indoctrinating his kids with his views.
“They think Dad’s crazy, and he’s boring,” the actor joked to Hoda Kotb. “But even with my faith, I don’t force it on them. But they know that Dad can’t start the day without being in prayer, can’t start the day without reading my Scripture or going to Mass.”
“And hopefully, instead of forcing that on them, they’ll say, ‘Well, if it works for Dad, maybe it’ll work for us,’ and they’ll kind of gravitate towards it on their own,” Wahlberg added.
