On February 12th, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Rihanna will headline the halftime act for Super Bowl LVII.
Sunday afternoon, the NFL posted a photo to social media showing Rihanna’s hand holding an official league football with the message “Let’s GO,” putting an end to the suspense over who would perform after reports surfaced last week that Taylor Swift had declined an offer from the league.
According to sources from this past weekend, Swift will continue re-recording her first six albums in the months following her new album, “Midnights,” next month.
Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Anderson appeared on the show last year. Paak performed at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, for Super Bowl LVI. The NFL estimates that almost 120 million viewers caught that show.

Rihanna’s halftime performance will be the first of a multiyear relationship between the NFL and Apple Music for the halftime performances, which was revealed last week. NFL Senior Vice President of Partner Strategy Nana-Yaw Asamoah said last week, “We couldn’t think of an ideal partner for the world’s most-watched musical performance.”
In her eight studio albums, Rihanna, 34, has won nine Grammy Awards and thirteen American Music Awards.
While Rihanna previously stated that she declined an opportunity to play at the Super Bowl in 2019 to show support for Colin Kaepernick, this move marks a departure from that stance. During an interview with Vogue in 2019, Rihanna said she would have been an “enabler” if she had played at the Super Bowl that year in Atlanta.
That’s something I wouldn’t dare do,” she remarked. “And why? What benefit does that provide? no, not among my people.” Maroon 5 headlined the Super Bowl performance, joined by Big Boi and Travis Scott.
