The much-awaited sequel of the Halloween classic horror film Like American Horror Stories, “Hocus Pocus 2” is about to be released. So, “Hocus Pocus 2” will be dropping worldwide on Disney+ Like (Cobra Kai). Yes, any country having Disney+ or access to platforms partnered with Disney+. Now for the release date, “Hocus Pocus 2” is going to release on 30th September 2022. We are pretty sure that on the day of its release, it is going to break the internet. The Cast of “Hocus Pocus 2”
Of course, the cast of “Hocus Pocus 2” will be quite the same as that was seen in the original film. The history that “Hocus Pocus” has created cannot be erased, so the original cast had to be there.
It was Bette Midler who broke the news about the sequel in October 2020. To join her in “Hocus Pocus 2,” Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. Bette, Sarah and Kathy will be playing Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson, respectively.
Though we knew the whole cast are probably going to come back, the May 2021 announcement clarified our doubts. However, there will be some misses since Thora Birch for Dani Dennison is not going to return due to a conflict in filming schedules. Director Anne Fletcher claimed, “We wanted to weave in all of the people that the fans loved, and when you sat back with all the ingredients and story, you’re like, how do we make this work?”People would say, ‘They could be in the background!’ and I’m like, really? You’re going to put the leads of the first movie in the background and be satisfied? You’re not going to be satisfied, you’re going to be angry.”
This was purely differences in time schedules and nothing else since Katz was highly interested to be in the sequel if the schedules were right.
Besides, the bullies Larry Bagby and Tobias will again not be in this sequel.
But Sam Richardson is going to be in the film playing the role of the Old Salem Magic Shoppe owner where the Sanderson sisters used to live. Tony Hale, Ted Lasso and Hannah Waddingham are some other cast members. Here are the names of all the remaining cast:
- Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham and Belissa Escobedo play Becca, Cassie and Izzy respectively (they will be the teenagers whom the Sanderson Sisters will target)
- Taylor Henderson, Juju Brener and Nina Kitchen will be seen nailing the role of younger versions of Winifred, Sarah and Mary
- Froy Gutierrez is going to be Cassie’s boyfriend Mike.
Moreover, Jen D’Angelo has beautifully penned down the scenes. Now, there had been differences with the director Adam Shankman who was originally supposed to direct the movie. But post the conflict, Anne Fletcher is taking charge.
