It was announced by Patric himself in Cluj-Napoca, Roman, sports festival that he now wanted to work with Halep as Williams does not exist in Roland -Garros.
Why Mouratoglou denied to coach Serena? Now Patrick replied to it
“I wanted to be fair to her and not be disappointed at the end of my career,” Mouratoglou said. “I went to ask her what she was going to do. I asked her if she wanted to go to Roland Garros. She told me she didn’t know. It was six weeks before the tour.I told her I was waiting for her on Monday for training and if she didn’t come, I would consider myself free.”
Mouratoglou also said that he is thinking about his retirement from coaching but before this, he likes to work with his favorite one. After Serena’s denied playing her next match and wanted to enjoy some vacations, then coach Patric step back for her and made this decision.
“After Serena decided to take a break, I confessed to my loved ones that I feel like I’m done with coaching.”
“I knew that one of my strengths was that I had a lot of enthusiasm for my work. Without this enthusiasm, I can’t be a good coach. I felt like I had lost it.”
After this announcement, Halep, a 30-year player 2 times Grand Slam winner stated that she is very happy with Patric as a coach, and under his coaching, she may place at no. one rank.
“I asked to work with Patrick because I really want to get back to the top, and I felt like he’s the best person to help me to do that,” Halep told.
“I was lucky that he was actually available to do it with me. I want to get back to the top, and of course, I’m dreaming of another Grand Slam because that’s why I’m working every day.”

Known as The Director of the Royal Palm Tennis Club in Florida, Hechtman is now the coach of Serena. When Serena paired with Jabeur he replied, “I’m still over the moon. I found out before the French Open, and it’s an honor and privilege to play with her. I’m actually nervous, but I’m going to try to be a doubles specialist next week and hopefully make zero mistakes. It’s a great honor to play with such a legend. Hopefully, it’s going to be a great tournament for both of us,” Jabeur said.
“My coach, he’s in contact with her coach, Eric Hechtman. ‘Would I play doubles with Serena?’ I mean, obviously, the answer was yes. She was coming back. I didn’t know where. I wasn’t sure, initially, to play at Eastbourne. But now I’m 100 percent sure I will go, just for doubles,” said Jabeur.
