House of the Dragon is a prequel to A Game of Thrones that takes place 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) birth and focuses on the beginning and end of House Targaryen, in particular the Targaryen conflict of succession known as Dance of the Dragons.
