Is Ryan Gosling joining Marvel Cinematic Universe? Well for Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios and MCU architect, it is an intriguing possibility. At Comic-Con, he told MTV News that he would “love to find a place” for Ryan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Kevin was retorting to Ryan’s own approach to portraying the character of Ghost Rider in a new film of the franchise. Last month, Gosling told Josh Horowitz who is the host of “Happy Sad Confused” that one superhero that he wants to portray is the “Ghost Rider.”
After learning about Gosling’s interest in playing the role, Kevin said “Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider…”
Despite being aware that “The Walking Dead” fame Norman Reedus is also interested in portraying Ghost Rider, Feige responded by saying “Gosling’s unbelievable. Ryan is amazing…I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU. He’s dressed up as Ken on Venice Beach and gets more press than giant movies coming out that weekend. It’s amazing.”
In 2007, “Ghost Rider” was first released where Nicolas Cage portrayed the titular character. Later, in 2012. a sequel of the film titled “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,” rolled out. Eva Mendes also co-starred in the first film and she also happens to be the longtime girlfriend of Ryan Gosling. They also have 2 children together.
There were rumors spreading over the internet that Ryan has been urged to portray the superhero Nova, however, these speculations have now been put to an end by the actor. While promoting his Netflix action thriller film titled “The Gray Man,” he said, “I don’t know anything about Nova, if that’s what you’re going to ask me.”
When Ryan was questioned on how many comic book hero characters he has declined, he responded by saying “It doesn’t matter. I wasn’t right about it. But I would love to do it.”
Currently, a Nova film isn’t on Marvel’s forthcoming schedule for Phases 5 and 6, neither is a Ghost Rider film as well. Though Kevin said that the franchise will become a little more Ghost Rider-oriented with the forthcoming film “Blade,” in which Mahershala Ali will star in the lead role.
